Not only the streets of Vitebsk, but also life in his homes becomes the subject of art of chagal. “Shoot in Vitebsk” was made upon the return of the artist from Paris. He depicts a well -known world of grocery shop, where they sell herring from barrels, oats, sawn sugar, flour, every other trifle. The artist’s calm and loving look transforms everyday objects into a poetic image of everyday life.
