The artist is Malevich
In the picture of 1908 “Rest. Society in the cylinders ”Malevich, by his own delaying his life, makes up the picture of the earthly paradise, creates a picturesque symphony, filled with serene, optimistic, far from all sorts of pathetics, corresponding to the original function of the idyll – to deliver an aesthetic feeling. However, the canvas makes a dual impression and clearly indicates the artist’s addiction to parody. The work is clearly provoked by the famous picture of Edward Manet. However, using the famous motive, Malevich introduces a man of the writer, which gives the picture a humorous shade and somewhat confuses the first idyllic impression. Maybe this picture should simply be attributed to the number of jokes of a young genius?
